The underway directory
A catalogue of businesses being built right now.
Every public underway series gets its own page — one link, every episode in order, from zero to tonight. The directory is the index over all of them: not finished companies with a launch post, but unfinished ones, still moving, filmed last night.
Where this is up to
The directory isn’t open yet. It opens once enough series are public to be worth browsing — an index that looks abandoned is worse than no index, and that first impression is hard to undo. Series filmed between now and then are listed the day it opens, archive already behind them.
How it will work
Consistency earns standing here. Not your best day.
A directory is only worth browsing if you can trust what it puts in front of you. These are the rules it’s built on, and they aren’t up for negotiation later.
Series are ranked. Episodes never are.
A best-episode leaderboard would teach every founder to chase their best day and film for the hook — which breaks the format the directory exists to showcase. A sustained body of work is what gets surfaced.
More than one front door
Longest running, newest, by industry, by milestone, by audience. A single most-watched row is rich-get-richer, and it buries episode 3 of a new series — exactly the founder this is meant to help.
Categories are read, not picked
Your industry comes from your one-line description and what you actually said on camera — and you correct it if it’s wrong. There is no taxonomy screen at signup, because that’s friction at the point people quit.
Your numbers are yours to see
Reach and growth are shown to you, and shown here, because they’re how you know it’s working. They are never fed back into what you get asked on camera — the day the app steers you toward what performed, the diary stops being honest.
Stealth costs you nothing
Film in private for as long as you want; you’re simply not listed yet. On the day you go public your page appears with the whole archive already on it. Nothing here is withheld from you in the meantime.
Placement can be bought. Ranking can’t.
If promotion is ever sold it will be labelled as promotion and sit beside the honest rows, never in place of them. A directory people stop trusting stops being browsed — and then it’s worth nothing to anyone.
Who else is looking
Eighty episodes is the best due diligence anyone will ever hand an investor.
A deck says what you’d like to be true. Eighty nights on camera show how you think under pressure, what you did the week it nearly died, and whether you kept going — in order, with nothing reordered and nothing invented. You can’t assemble that after the fact, at any budget.
The same goes for the person deciding whether to come and work with you. So the directory is built to be searched by industry and by where a business honestly stands — because being found by the right person is a reason to show up that has nothing to do with follower counts.
The series listed first are the ones being filmed now.
You can’t go back and film the beginning. Episode 1 is tonight, and it takes three minutes.
