Underway nudges inside Slack

We're back ladies and gents Episode 42 and we're still in Vegas And guess what Time difference is like eight hours I woke up at 3 30 AM this morning My fiance woke up at like 1 30 or something So we've been awake for so long It feels like I had a whole day But one thing I think I was speaking about this on the last episode And I finally got it installed and integrated And I'm still waiting on WhatsApp But what we did do is get it installed into Slack I can't believe I didn't think I do remember I thought of this one before At the start Slack being a major one I just can't believe I didn't really get around to it until recently But I do want to show you guys how it works It's really simple And you install it into any kind of project or channel that you're working on And you can talk to it And it's going to talk to you based on things that have been done Best way to show you that is to show you Slack Hopefully I don't see my screen here gents Hopefully there's nothing So it's quite cool because I can actually show you here how it started I installed it and what bugs were there how it didn't really work I'm trying to explain this I mean I don't even I can't even tell you This was yesterday I can't even tell you But yeah so you can see here how it didn't really work It said this came unprompted It said something landed Posted to your what community Who filmed tonight Sunday Keep it for your next episode I'll talk about it now So the idea is you're in Slack most of the time or maybe you're in WhatsApp Whatever you communicate often often with your teams if you have teams And it notifies you in there so it's kind of less friction And it will tell you what it's just read what you've just done something just happened I don't want it to be annoying but I want it to nudge you and be like hey do you want to talk about this now because you can create a quick episode how you feel what happened or do we want to leave it for later And you can see the first three answers were keep it because this is what I've changed You've got keep it talk now or leave it And I think I didn't click any of them I just thought what do you mean something landed in what Because it just didn't make sense to me Number one I know nothing landed in what So I asked it and then I said to it look I don't actually have that on record There's no note here about anything landing in what and I can't see what I might have said No sorry this is what it said back to me It's quite confusing because the same logo is on each right But it was just funny to me how it said landed something posted to your what community And then in the same sentence a bit later it says I don't have that on record right So there's some kind of gap There was a bug there We figured that out So then we moved on to the next bug which was this message came through Since your last episode you've shipped underway commit records So it's kind of like all these different notes and numbers which is confusing But it said underway WhatsApp templates are named And underway commit record recorded five more Worth one reply with what it's about or not today And I think I said I think I clicked like expand it or something and it gave me this wall of text And it's like no one's going to read that It's too much Like it needs to be condensed It needs to be referenced contextual So I went back and forth And now we're here So we're going to see it live in action So it messaged me a couple of hours ago Since your last episode you've shipped wire Lucian's four days sorry four seven day x pixel The chat ship line reads as English and WhatsApp templates are named Worth an episode So it's about or not today So now it says film it right Tell me more So like because it's quite brief right And then not today And the big thing here is this wire Lucian's four seven day x pixel is I think I said before the guy at X who's helping with the ads We're setting up the ads And I set them up with a one day pixel And he's told me in an email we need to move to seven day So it's picked that up from the emails right So if I say tell me more we can see what it says And look this might not even work guys This is live in action So I click tell me more and it hasn't even I wonder One thing I always think with these changes you make is oh see it's told me now is I'm all about communication My normal day to day marketing sales it's all about communication Business success is drived on communication And with this I'm always telling the AI like if you are thinking if something's processing or doing something but you're not telling the person highlighting clearly what's going on at the time they will assume something's broken So with this when I click tell me more you see how it was delayed So no doubt I'll make sure I add some kind of contextual tab that says hey process in thinking So it says since you left this episode in your record what could be an episode So the ship nudge takes the lander's line the ship nudge ends with a tail Say a number So this is kind of a cool thing about Underway is like I'm just showing you in live I'm literally just trying it out right now and I can already see like the first nudge it told me about was why are Lucians for 7dxPixel I said tell me more and it gave me nothing about that So we'll just ask it oh shit Let's just do this So I think you know after this video I'm gonna have to go back to the drawing board and see if we can figure this bit out And whilst we're waiting here WhatsApp is a bit harder because you've got to buy a number you've got to verify against a business A2P you've got to verify certain automatic messages that go out so they're templated messages that has to be accepted WhatsApp has kind of different rules so that it's like if WhatsApp is going to message you first it has to be strictly a templated accepted message But if the founder messages you first it's just an open phone conversation right I can't lock that up from here yet ask them all on today Okay so look we're gonna have to go back to it It is correct I could just click on today answers and literally ask the record but I want the ability to do that in Slack and in WhatsApp So this is just a verification that this stuff is happening in real time and I'm just working on it as we go So let's stop sharing and goodbye
