The objections on the website

I walked through the objections section I've added to the Underway website, line by line: I'll do it for a week and then stop, there's the edit, I can't put this in public, who would even watch, I'd film it three times and still not be happy. Each one is something that's stopped me before, so I talked through how the product takes it off the table, including the stealth vault for founders who can't go public yet. I'm not public with mine yet either, there are a few legal aspects I'm going through first. I also touched on the new how it works screen and yesterday's work on affiliates and founders getting paid, both of which I'll cover properly another time.

Morning folks 14th of September 2026 What episode is this Oh yeah 31 and I think we've done like 14 days 13 days in a row Pretty good So today I want to talk about objections and really kind of just an episode again to go over the real reasons why at least and the problems I faced with or the real reasons I made underway And the problems I faced with other things in life that made me create it And I actually added this all to the website because I quite often go through the website and think is it making the impacts I want So let me share my screen and I'll go through this tab here So actually added let me so many things actually to go over like I created a look I'm not meant to talk about this on this on this episode but I added a how it works screen so it's like you know I think I mentioned another episode One thing with the website is it didn't ever give you that understanding and for you to grasp what was going to happen when you downloaded it or like if you paid what did it look like you know that experience So I created this one your first episode screen by screen so it's like literally walking you through what it's gonna do so you can give it so you can have a look What else did we make We created I'll talk about this on another episode but like a get paid I did a lot of work yesterday on kind of like affiliate affiliates and also Founders getting paid like because I I see this as growing into something kind of like You'd like a YouTube for founders in a way but like kind of mixed with patreon if you know what I mean so it's like like let's say I'm a founder and I'm creating or building a business On documenting it and I have an audience but I want to I want to charge for it you know either like monthly So that people can kind of watch me building as I go through I think because that's it's just not done nowadays is it And the same the same goes if like I have a series and i've built a business Or I want to release that series to the public and I want to charge a one time fee for it So I created that so that founders can Get paid for the work They do build in public but get paid I think it's a really cool aspect Um then we've got affiliates now And following so it's like you know founders Um can now have a profile kind of like a bit of a social platform You explain what you're doing what you're building all your different series is there and your episodes and you know So you can follow them So anyway let's go back to Um let's go back to here so if we scroll down here so This is kind of where I was I've at least emphasized the Selling points of it at least what I felt and how i've created a solution So the first one here is This is kind of me speaking I'll do it for a week and then stop I always do because that's the reason I haven't And I know a lot of founders like my fiance was telling me yesterday She was watching something on TikTok and it was a guy who lives close to me is opening a second coffee shop right It's perfect to know it And he's documenting that person I think he like put the first episode on TikTok or just hey I'm creating this new coffee shop And one thing he said on it was like I just wish I'd done this for the first one because he's been successful and it's just like nothing to show for it So now he's kind of getting to it perfect scenario And I think a lot of the reasons why people don't do this and get into it is because of this sentence here like I'll do it for a week and then stop I'm massively guilty of that I will always and in the past I've done that so many times So many little businesses and things I've tried and it's just like I'll maybe do it for a bit record something talk about something create content I fall off and I'm not being biased here but testament to what I've actually created because I'm still going I know it's not been that long but like I'm semi addicted to recording again recording again It doesn't matter about how successful it is You know it's actually create taking away a lot of friction Yeah this is another one This is another thing you put in your head that makes you think yeah forget it then You know I sit down look at the camera nothing to say It's like if you're gonna be so consistent which you need to be on social media like six weeks is not good enough Like you have to gain a following to get customers not that this is about following but like to document even you have to do it so consistently And to sit down and look at the camera it's just like ah I'm just going to have no idea what to say And then it's like bad content And then if bad content what's the point of doing it You know so you convince yourself to not start again So that's two things Then you've got then there's the edit Yeah this was a massive one for me And one thing I wanted to get over is like social media for me there's like two things It's like if you do it properly you got to be consistent get in front of the camera Then you also have to edit And yes there's things that can help you but it's like fiddly it takes time And it's like that on top of everything else forget it Like maybe AI is getting better and better but that puts me off massively And I know there'll be founders also like that And the second thing is social media is all about like think about the hook and here's a list of a hundred hooks And it's like I don't want to do hooks I don't care about hooks You know and that because everything is moving in that direction it turns people away I think from just documenting You know And so I kind of took editing off the table with this you know and that's why I think founders will like it because they don't want to get involved in that And if it you know it's just about documenting it's just about being consistent And this makes it so easy takes editing off the table keeps it really simplified so that you can be consistent right And you don't have to think about this stuff This one I can't I'm a bit ill right now I can't put this in public Not yet maybe not ever Again I know there's going to be a lot of founders out there and they are building or they want to build And you know right at the start like even right now I'm not public with mine There's a few legal aspects I'm going through I'm going to go public soon but I know there's going to be a lot of founders out there who want to do this but also can't go public straight away And it's like you could go to YouTube and you could create an unlisted category and not show anyone But it's kind of not set up for that It's a bit of a niche aspect of it So with this people are gonna have the Stealth aspect of it So everything that gets filmed is still done and edited Everything's normal but it's there creating it's in stealth in your vault and You don't have to go public I mean you'll be incentivized too because there are a lot of things that people can see and I think I'm gonna make create like Links so you can give it to like investors or something like that With passwords on it and stuff like that but that's why stealth is created Who would even watch I have no audience and no hook Again I touched on this with the hooks but It's not even about who would watch right especially when you're starting something then documenting something It's about who cares who will watch It's literally just about being consistent creating it and so that you can when you're you are successful or Wherever you do get to like even if it's a failure so you can look back and go that was cool I learned a lot It's there and I also imagine like two years like this coffee shop guy He's creating his second Coffee shop and he said like I wish I documented this and it's for that exact reason like He probably went through his head He probably went through his head I'm not gonna do this like I'm small I'm insignificant I've got an audience who's gonna watch creating scripting talking editing But this forget there's no one to watch right This isn't about audience this isn't about Hulk it's about starting now and just being consistent And you'll look back and you might I'm so glad And maybe you know down the line as I said you can monetize that aspect of it Last two so I'd have to write something first and I'm not a writer You know sometimes to do it well on social media is another job you might have to script it you might have to think about it you might have to you might have to look at hooks And that takes time you know And with Underweight it does all that for you It asks the questions it knows what you've done it knows what you're trying to work towards It knows your company like all of that's taken off the table Oh more I'd film it three times and still not be happy So yeah that's a big aspect of it Again it's like everyone knows social media is about the hook and gaining the audience And you kind of like you know it has to be perfect or people try and reach for perfection So you film it again film it again film it again It takes away the fun of doing it And so this is just about nope do it once Be genuine be transparent and then boom it's done Move on I need lights a camera and a proper setup Again you don't with this You really can just do what I'm doing You just stand in front of the camera and you can just talk and it can help you It will even tell you about lighting No it will even tell you if the light's good or bad but to a degree it's not a major point And then the last one I'd be holding a phone squinting at a prompt So this kind of like there's a few things You're on your laptop and it's clearer You don't have to squint even with bad eyes like me And it reads everything out loud so you don't have to think or look at something on your screen It will just talk to you and you can just talk back especially the podcast as well like So anyway that's 11 minutes but yeah Over and out folks
