I want to explain exactly where Underway came from and the actual problem that it solves. A few months ago I just got to a point where I was annoyed, there was friction, and I thought, it's not quite where I need it, I'd rather pay to make it easier. So today I gave it a go and I'm actually really happy with it. It's making me think maybe I don't need to spend so much to get an explainer video, because this really does it, and it was made for free. I took the interview scaffolding away. This is a bug, but you can see it's valuable, right. Through this whole setup I've already noticed a bunch of bugs, things are just not aligned.
I'm back talking to you again, Elizabeth, because I think if people listen to the last episode, they'll realise a few things. Number one, you keep asking me the same question at the start of every podcast, which is killing me inside. After last episode I realised you didn't have the knowledge and capabilities to look at the context and pull together what we've done. So I've been away working on that, and this is the test of it. So my question to you becomes, what have I achieved in the past few days?
Oh my god, we just got set up. We thought it was completed, we thought we were good this whole time, an hour and a bit at least of working on this. We thought we'd got it, then got a little teaser at the start and it sounded like it had been fixed. But tell me, what have we been working on this week? What did I achieve yesterday? Not only do I now hear three different voices, but we keep repeating, don't we?
Yeah, it's been a long day, put it that way. Yesterday was a whole day spent on App Store Connect, and I guess not many people know what that means. That's it, that's it, you got it. I was basically spending a whole day trying to get it to connect to the app store, because after all these days, maybe weeks now, I'm not sure, I'd been working on the web app a lot, the video, and then I moved into a podcast, and I'm still working on that today. But yesterday was spent on the mobile app, getting that ready for the app store, which I'm proud to say has been successful in terms of it is now processing. So I'm just waiting on Apple to say it's done and accepted, hopefully, then we can move on to bigger and better things. What do you think?
You don't need to sound so excited, come on, we need some realism here.
I'm not sure why you stopped on that sentence halfway through, but we're getting close, we're getting there. The app store thing, we're done, I think. There's not much more to say about that, we've exhausted the amount of things you can say about applying for an app store thing. So today has been spent massively on this podcast aspect. I really thought I'd killed it the other day and finished what I needed to do, but today's been going round and round in circles, and this seems very promising. I don't know what your name is, but choosing a different person might have been the key to this. Ninety percent of the way there. Can you tell me what I did on Monday? What were some of the major things I did then?
The hard thing for me is I easily forget because there's so much going on. Some of it does sound like you're correct, and some of it sounds like you're recollecting work that actually came prior to Monday, especially the Fable videos. The last time I spoke about those was last week sometime, I'm sure.
No, I think you're talking about a different git project. The fact that I've probably got you connected to numerous git projects means I need to look at the setting and actually apply it to just the Underway project. Is that what you'd advise?
Yeah, okay, perfect. Listen, it's late here. I think we've made some headway. I'm going to go to sleep now. Is there anything you want to say to the listeners at home before I cut you off?
He gave me a bit of a range of quotes, and it went from still highly expensive up to very expensive. Literally twenty four builds, because every time we go through it there's something wrong. You'd have thought they'd be able to review app submissions with AI, but it is a genuine human. The boss doesn't know I'm building this on the side. You'll get a lot from this app, and if you want to be one of the first testers, if you want to get involved, don't hesitate to DM me and we'll get you on board.
