I landed back in the UK from Vegas a few hours ago, well more than a few hours ago, I'm absolutely shattered. And I was about to go to bed but I was like, I can't stop this streak. I've done 49 episodes of me rambling and a lot of people listen and be like, well it's just rambling. Yeah but look, at the end of the day, if you listen to Jeff Bezos in the first few days when he thought of that idea, it's all rambling to begin with until you get your first customer and then you face the first big issue.
I was about to start ads. I was like, hey, probably need to have me on the landing pages. It'd be great to have loads of different customers on there but as it's just me, probably best it's me rather than some AI stuff.
I'd forgotten how bad version 1 was until I watched it back. That's the value of it. Not the fact that I'd built something, but I can see how rough it started.
Today I've had two replies from people who are interested. And so I basically gone to them and said, hey, use underway for a week, use it legitimately, I'll pay 100 at the end of the week if you're able to give me feedback. I think that's the most valuable bit at the moment.
But it just feels like I've done 50 odd episodes, right. And I'm like, 50 odd episodes, that's pretty cool, Rich, but it's like not even a business, it's just noise, you know. This person is now publicly live but look, it said, hey, saw you asking whether to start documenting your day today running the TikTok shop. So that's like perfect, that's the kind of person who I would want to use this.
Wouldn't it be cool to give the agent a name, a face, a voice and have them document as well. I'm pretty sure in the next few years that's going to be a really legit thing where everyone's going to have all of these agents in their life and it's like, let's hear from them. And I keep seeing things on Twitter X about Higgsfield, Veed and Haygen and all these videos that are AI but they're so realistic. I'm like, the technology's there.
We don't have any customers yet. We're about to launch X ads and Meta ads. Imagine if it was cheap, imagine having all my different staff accounts all just documenting it and a couple of them just hate me. Some of them love me, working for Rich is great, and then the engineer's just like, oh he's killing me. I just can't work out if it's like just a complete spoof or that we're moving into this kind of world.
For me, for example, right now with me documenting all of these days, as I've said in previous episodes, it's probably just noise to people and they're kind of watching it going, what's the point of all this. But I don't care about the virality of how this content does right now. I'm running ads now, I just started. And the ads themselves have to have specific angles. So YouTube is the perfect place for me to just post the long form episodes. YouTube shorts, Instagram, TikTok etc is the perfect place to post clips of them.
My rules are make it incredibly easy for founders. No fiddling, no fiddly bits, no checking and changing things. Editing should be one click and done. And I've basically done that.
Someone who taps your ad signs up inside Facebook's own built-in browser, then opens the Gmail, the link opens Safari, login system can't match it up. I now get an email and a phone notification for every sign-up, right. Obviously that's good because I'm just gonna reach out to these people personally and just be like, hey, if you need any direction, I'm here.
