podcast, no camera

the short version

you do not have to love the camera.

tap podcast, no camera. answer with your voice. the episode is still numbered. the questions stay in, so it sounds like an interview, not a voice note.

that is on the live site today.

the nights the camera loses

a long day. no face left. the ring light is still in the cupboard. most people skip the episode.

underway keeps the series going without the face. same interview. same number. different way to answer.

how a no-camera night works

tap podcast, no camera. it asks out loud. you talk for as long as you like. the episode is the conversation itself — both voices.

record from the sofa, the car, a walk. no lighting. change your mind tomorrow; the series does not care which nights were camera and which were voice.

who asks

two ways on the live site:

  • underway hosts. it already knows your company, what you said last night, and who you have been talking about.
  • someone you know asks: a co-founder in the room, or a guest joining by a link. both of your voices are in the episode.

what you get

an audio episode with its number. the interviewer's questions kept in. the words for the platforms written from what you said.

every plan makes the audio episode. the podcast feed (apple, spotify, once you submit) is on series and above.

screen share is another way out

still do not want your face? name what you are showing, share your screen, and talk it through with you in the corner of the frame. a small window stays on top with the clock and a stop button while you are in other windows.

voice, camera, or screen. three ways to answer the same interview. pick a different one each evening.

what this is not

it is not dropping out of the series because you skipped the camera. the episode number carries on.

it is not a separate product. it is the same evening interview on the live site.

it is not overnight processing while you sleep. a few minutes after you stop, the episode is ready.

it is not a rehash of "the interview is live." that page is the live interview vs a form. this page is the no-camera path.

faqs

do i have to be on camera?

no. voice only makes an audio episode with the questions kept in, numbered like the rest. or share your screen. or go on camera.

is it still a real episode?

yes. same number. same archive. same honesty list.

can i switch back tomorrow?

yes. pick the way each time.

is there an ai co-host?

yes, for podcast nights: a flowing conversation, both voices recorded. video episodes stay you, speaking to the people watching. guided interviews stay on every plan either way.

why this page exists

gsc still has no query rows for underway.life (as of 11 sep). volume is not measured. founders who will not start a diary because of the camera need a page that says they do not have to.

this is that page, grounded in what the live product does today.
