Thumbnails, archive and a patent

Okay homies we're back Third episode of today can you believe it Lots has been done today Few things I forgot to mention on the 31st I think of last month I applied for a trademark looked into that whole thing I'm one of those people who's like you know leave that stuff for a bit just get your idea out just prove your idea get customers get payments and then kind of if you really need to look into that stuff But something inside a bit of an instinct just said you know this time get your trademark first so I did that Today I looked into getting a patent I think it's different different laws obviously in the UK and obviously Europe but I actually started the process of applying for a patent in the US today Not for the app like not for just the idea but some of the unique mechanisms that I use and I kind of put that into CloudChat GPD today and it seemed to think we could patent that idea so that's a work in progress And then today I've added quite a few things So there's a few concepts I want to show you right now So if you watched the other episode you'll notice that I tried to show you a walkthrough of setting up an episode and I couldn't show you the starting aspect of it So if I change tabs I should be able to show you that now So this is what it looks like So when you click kind of make my episode or whatever it says this is the first screen you say or see sorry So first you pick the shape so it's video podcast you know if you can't be on camera or walk me through it So what I'm showing you right now is walk me through it So you share your screen and just Then we go for length so it's short standard and you can read here so it's kind of about three minutes five at most and then you've got long which is kind of up to 10 minutes My fiance's just shutting the curtains and could have done it any other time but right now he's needed and this is why I'm recording because you've got to record your actual life It doesn't have to be perfect And then you choose frame so portrait and landscape so obviously I'm landscape right now And then from there you can obviously type in anything that's on your mind You can click read my day instead where it's gonna take that context from your day what it's connected to or it can suggest from what it remembers So now it's got this backlog of what it knows about me and what's happened on all these episodes right So it can kind of move that conversation on If we go back to here no actually let's look at archive okay So firstly guys archive is where all of your episodes are going to sit right And I'm just showing you the bare bones because lots of things are gonna improve and change in here So if I refresh here yeah so one thing I'm gonna say is you'll obviously notice episode three here and episode three here So it's got a repeat and this is because this is a take I didn't use but it still put it in the archive which it shouldn't Another thing is I've got an episode four here which should show a different kind of title screen here Also at the top here of your archive is you've got the week So what we can actually do at the end of this week is cut the week so it'll take all of those episodes and kind of put a montage together a long form montage which is quite cool The other thing I want to show everyone oh it even says this two episodes are both numbered three Both have been cut so renumbering one could change a number you've already posted under Pick which keeps the number So just because it's in your archive here does not mean it's live doesn't mean it's public So people another video I'll go over kind of stealth mode which is just being private It's kind of building in public but in private and then going live at some point you want So whilst it's in archive here it's private right And you can kind of click on one right And this is what you'll see So yeah what's really cool is you can publish a new version So the cut changed since the file was made So make tonight's episode renders as it is now publish again picks it up So what I actually added today which is quite cool I think this is a seven minute 19 seven minute 19 second video So it's a long video right I added this kind of thumbnail ability today So you can actually type in what your thumbnail what you want on your thumbnail You can suggest other words You can click use this cover and then it will just apply right to your screen So I can actually go in now and publish this new version And it would then what I'm gonna do publishing means it goes into the directory Now the directory is public guys So these are going to be businesses being built right now in public My goal here is to have tons and tons of business kind of like a Netflix type thing where investors or just the public can go in and see what's being built and see the origin stories of all of these companies So obviously right now it's just me and it's underway So we can click on that and you've got a few things here So you've got from episode 0 here and you can scroll this way Now you'll see episode 4 has the thumbnail So it's the first episode with the thumbnails and these ones were just kind of candid and these ones with title screen right So the funny thing is is you'll see episode 4 is a thumbnail But if I go back into archive episode 4 does not have it here right So I might make that change and apply it So let's do let's apply a new thumbnail to episode 3 You see it's already there So I've already clicked use as cover I've already done that before this Okay and now I can publish this new version Now I won't let you guys wait but what I can start to do now is make sure all of the ones in the directory public facing have thumbnails So it's kind of like YouTube But yeah that's it And so tomorrow I'll show you some more features
