We're back, same day again, but there's some stuff to update you on.
Number one, ChatGPT, OpenAI, emailed me and told me I could join a webinar about ChatGPT ads. I set the pixel, used Claude, set it up, and thought, let's just see, because at the end of the day when you build something, you create something, you've got distribution getting out there. What better way to get your actual idea, your landing page, your product, in front of people. I mean, you're paying, but you can ensure that it gets in front of the people you want to be in front of. So I did it. I set it at fifty pounds a day, and it not only overspent, it spent like one hundred and fifty, within thirty minutes it had spent triple the amount. So now I've created a support ticket with ChatGPT OpenAI to say, that is not a good experience for business owners. Probably could have started with Meta, and I'm going to as well.
The other thing is, I told you in the last episode about my other work, the sales side of things, and I had a sales meeting today with all of those guys. It was really good, because it's weird, the guys I've worked with for so long, a lot of those people I've never even met in real life, although I talk to them every day and we're on Zoom all the time. Some of them I've met in real life, some of them I haven't, but my point is I see them as genuinely good friends. I'm sure everyone, especially in online business, has felt this. My friends at home, the people I've known for a long time in the UK, and the people who are on the internet, random strangers, those guys will have my back. Not that the others don't, but these ones will grab the chance to comment, to DM, to say well done, just positivity. I don't know if that's a UK thing against the US, because obviously these guys are in the US. On the sales call today, pretty much all of them said it was genuinely a really good idea, and it wasn't fake positivity, it was like, this is a genuine issue, you solve it. It felt good, more so motivation, to be like, keep going.
One of the other things about building a business is you can have internal motivation that it's good, but that's so easy to get swayed off. It's so easy to have a day where it's hard, where you've done X amount of videos, tried this, tried that, and nothing's working. I know this because I'm one of those guys who's just gone bam bam bam, done something, got bored, changed. The times when I've been successful, in my own mind, are when I've been hella focused and consistent for a long time. When I say a long time, let's say six months of pure focus and dedication without changing, that's brought me so much. I'm going to do it with this, and I'm going to have documentation on it.
I'm going to share my screen, because one thing I've shown you before is when you click on today to record an episode, it has suggested topics for you. It knows what you've said and what you've left open. It said I'd spoken in another episode about having a founder's day, and I left it open, so I'm going to show you this now.
If I click on today, sixteen days in a row, that makes me feel good, keep going. If I go down, you've got ask the vault, I can speak to it on the microphone, ask what we did yesterday, or what we did three weeks ago on this day, and it will tell us. Then we've got today's context, which is what it's pulling through to create questions from. Because we connect to so many bits of software, I've made it so it doesn't pull all of them automatically, you have to click choose what it uses, and then you can see shipped, all of the things I've done, and click them on so it pulls through as context. I can click on the numbers, like one hundred subscribers, calendar, meetings coming up, but I have to click on them to pull them through.
Here we go, worth an episode. The series deck you said you'll cover walkthrough, which I'm doing now. This is proof of this working, because I said that's a really good point, you parked this for another session, and the record still has no idea what a generated deck looks like or which style choices exist. That's a quote of me, and that's what I'm doing now. What's funny is I saw that earlier today and thought, that reminds me I should look into that. I looked into it, and I thought, it's a good idea but it's so trash.
If you click on account and come down, you've got company record. It pulls through everything, what it does each week, why it's worth having, what's the best route to start, what the company knows. This is the company Bible, so to speak.
The whole point is you're building a company from scratch and you document it. If you start in stealth, you don't want the public to know straight away, every episode you record is series zero, episode one, episodes keep going up. As soon as you go public, series zero is over, series one starts, and you have to set up your series one and tell it what it's about, what the goal is, are we tracking things. As you go along you're going to have different series, and for each series I've enabled it so you can have a deck for each one, or a deck that covers it all, because there's a lot of info there.
At the bottom you've got series, building underway, the whole series. I can create a deck, an investor, hiring, customer and partner progress update, about the whole thing or the season. When I have loads of seasons you'll be able to choose and get an investor deck for season zero, because I might have an investor at some point who wants to see series zero, what did I go, where did I start, where did I get to, what did I document, in a nice format.
The whole point of underway is you document everything, even if it's really bad. If you click print, even though print is probably the wrong word, it makes and saves its video, and look at this, it's the deck, thirty seven hours, sixteen days, video it up, and it's literally just a wall of text of what happened. I'm showing you that because this is where you start, it's a good idea, but that's what it spits out, and now I'm going to have to go to town and work on this, because that's not good enough. I did want to show that because in however many episodes down the line, I'm probably going to come back and say, look at this.
