I'm filming another guy's second one today, and the reason I am is because I just had an idea. Not that it's revolutionary, but it made me develop some of this product and it made me think a few things. First the concept, and I want to document this because either it's going to fail and I don't follow through with it, or this part of it becomes a big thing. So we'll see, I guess.
This app already has a function in it, it already has what we call a podcast function in it. It also has the ability to invite people in, whether that's someone in the room with you, just recording a chat between you, let's say you have a staff member, your director, your social media manager, and you want to do a documentation, you want a video of you to chat about a topic, or someone's in another place, in another country, and you want to invite them in via audio and have a chat. It already does those things.
But today I was like, do you know what would be really cool, podcasts are the thing nowadays. I did think it would be interesting and a good way of not just distribution but getting people to understand and grasp on the way. I thought it'd be a podcast once a week, the underway podcast, that interviews founders about what they've built and the process, but focuses in on the things that no one hears. What made them nearly quit, what was the hardest decision, the things that they didn't record and document but people want to know about. I think it's really interesting, so I'm going to develop the app today.
We expand the podcasting aspects of it so that you can invite someone in via video, like you would on Zoom. And then post the raw podcast. Because the whole point of this is really not editing, so it's not like perfect, but just having that interview and posting it. So I guess you guys will also be able to see and watch me think of this concept and then develop it, add it to the stack, and then also start interviewing people. So episodes that I do every day, once a week will be an actual podcast. That'd be quite cool.
Another thing I was thinking, I don't know if a lot of my followers will know this, they probably don't know fully, but I work in sales and marketing to a degree, and I work on big projects. I work with a company called Next Growth. Genuinely, I'm biased of course, but we are one of the best in the game. The amount of talent we have running it, the managers, and Cole the CEO, and Pat, we're A game. We're really good. We run some massive accounts. We do a huge amount of revenue, and there's some really exciting stuff that I'm doing with them as well.
I kind of think in with this document, because that's my main job, and I love that stuff so much, I can never see myself really pulling away from it. Why would I, because literally I get up every day enjoying my job, and I have done for a long time. So I might start documenting and talking about some of that stuff as well, because the whole point of this document, yes I'm kind of doing behind the scenes of underway, but also it's behind the scenes of just what I'm doing. Document it all, the wins across the board, the losses across the board, the L's. I'm working on a few new things with Next Growth which are very exciting, so you might hear about some more of those.
