It was good whilst it lasted, FAILED

AI co-host: Hey Rich. You’ve been exploring the podcast side of Underway. AI co-host: What made you want a voice-only option alongside video? Founder: Funnily enough, I think i've been asked that before, but I think the real simple answer is. Founder: Less fiction. AI co-host: Right, less fiction. I like that. So what feels more... Founder: And come on, you know, wait so I can answer, you know, so less fiction because there are, you know, when you're designing. An app and you're trying to get people to use your app, the more friction you have, the more likelihood people drop off and don't use it. And when it comes to like recording in public, building public, obviously video is where you want everyone because it's the most compelling. But the easiest way is to get them to join and just use their voice. A lot of introverts, a lot of builders out there who are introverts who would. Probably do this if it just meant they can talk and it spoke to them like this. And so I think this is a real cool feature for them. And it's a stepping stone obviously for them to create more and more content to eventually move to video right. AI co-host: Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. It's like... lowering the barrier to entry for people who might otherwise just tune out before they even start using it. AI co-host: So, who do you picture being the main folks drawn to just the voice option? Founder: That's a really tough question to answer. Who would be the main folks to be drawn to the voice owners? I'm gonna guess. I mean, as I said introverts I i know for sure there's a huge amount of founders builders and. Even people with mature business out there who are just like introverts, they're not confident on camera making content like that, being on camera looking. To a screen talking is a is a big ask but they probably also know the value of creating. And documenting. And so I think this will be a good stepping stone for them. AI co-host: Yeah, I can see that... the business owners who just aren't into being on camera. AI co-host: It feels like a more natural fit for them, maybe? AI co-host: What kind of content do you think they'll end up creating mostly? Founder: Well, they've got not got much choice because if it's just voice, then they'll be doing many podcasts, don't you think? I mean. It would just be talking and documenting about their process like like exactly what i'm doing now with you elizabeth. AI co-host: Yeah, that makes sense... turning those internal chats into something shareable. AI co-host: So, what's the first thing you think someone like that would naturally want to talk about?
