Underway is about recording everything to do with building a business, in public or stealth mode, and I'm on episode four. I got really keen, I wanted to show all the other features, so I thought let's record a walkthrough. I clicked film, and I can't remember if I didn't click the setting for the walkthrough, or because I was filming another one the same day it wasn't showing me those settings since I'd already chosen them before.
The whole point of underway is it's about being realistic, about being transparent, about showing everything. This episode might be literally a throwaway, because what I was meant to do was share my screen and walk you through the whole website, the community, the different integrations, how they work. I clicked start film and then there's no share button. There's no share my screen button. That's a bug. I need to add that, so that any time anyone's recording a video we need to be able to share the screen, not just when you've clicked walkthrough. Because you might just be speaking freestyle, jamming, talking, and think, do you know what, let me share my screen, let me show you something. That ability is not there right now.
So I just kept talking. I didn't think, let's delete this, let's go back, let's talk to Claude Code, let's fix this. No. Transparency works. It would be so cool, I think, in a year's time to look back and see this episode and think it was actually a good idea that I did that. Many more of these to come, I guess.
