I finally tried the podcast tonight. Half eleven, I'm exhausted, and I thought it'd be the easy bit after all the video work. It isn't. It's incredibly detailed. I had to strip out the interview structure I'd copied across from the video section. If you build a natural conversation on that foundation, it never flows. And the lag is real. After I talk and wait, it doesn't respond quickly at all. Anyone else using this would assume something's wrong and that it hadn't heard them. It did ask one thoughtful question based on what I'd just said. Semi-impressed with that. Tomorrow I want to see how much of that lag I can remove. I've seen demos where the AI answers almost like a human. I don't even know what its name is. Going to hand the recording to Claude Code or ChatGPT and see what they make of it. Episode 15 done. Good night.

I really do need to go to bed, and I am very tired, but I just can't get this out of my mind, and I know I just need to finish it and see if it's at least close to the product that I envisioned. I spent so much time on video, and really just thought the podcast section would be so easy. But upon delving into it much more, it's incredibly detailed and it requires a lot of time.

I thought it'd be so simple to set up a conversation with an AI, but it's really not. So here I am working at it, and this is the first test. I don't think it was even about the conversation, but it was more so just everything I had already set up in the app, the video section, was semi-applied to this podcast section. And that made it have this foundation where it was set up like an interview, a structured question aspect. Obviously if you build something from that foundation, it's just not going to ever flow. So I had to strip everything out, and I think I was silly to assume that AI could just talk naturally and also respond so quickly.

One thing I'm realising is after waiting and listening, you don't respond very quickly at all, and anyone else using this would assume something's wrong, that you haven't heard what I've said. I just assume the delay is coming from your ability to process the information, what I've said, what does it really mean, how does that flow against things. Do you need to respond to something in particular? Have we finished on a certain topic? Just lag. I don't know if I need to upgrade anything.

I was semi-impressed with your next question. It did ask me something really good based on what I've just said. It's half eleven here at night, so my brain's not working very well, but you did ask a thoughtful question, I think.

So I think I'm gonna end it here. I'm gonna end the podcast. I'm gonna keep this in so people are gonna hear, in a way, how podcasts are starting out and the development of them. I think the goal, at least tomorrow, will be to see how much I can remove that lag completely. I have seen demonstrations of podcasts, or at least speaking with the AI, where it's very quick to answer, like a human almost. So maybe I can do that. But other than that, I think this was a good step one.

Good night. I don't even know what your name is. I'm not technical enough to understand, so I'm gonna give Claude Code or ChatGPT an understanding of what's happened. I might be able to download this and give it to him, give it to her. Who knows? We'll see what it says. But yeah, good night.

Well, to be honest, I think that's a bit of a silly question, don't you? Um, but no, um, I'm-- I've got one of those big issues in life where I really do need to go to bed, and I am very tired, but I just can't get this out of my mind, and I know I just need to finish it and see if it's at least close to the product that I en- envisioned, you know? Yeah, it's very detailed and it, it requires a lot of time. And I thought it'd be so simple to set up like a conversation with an AI, but it's really not. Um, but I mean, I, I, I, I was semi-impressed with your next question. It did ask me something really good based on what I've just said. It's half 11:00 here at night, so I'm just-- my brain's not working very well, but you did ask a thoughtful question, I think. So I think I'm gonna end it here. I'm gonna see what you say to this, but I'm gonna end the podcast. I'm gonna keep this in so people are gonna hear, in a way, what, how podcasts are starting out and the development of them. I'm not technical enough to understand, so I'm gonna give, uh, Claude Code or ChatGPT some, some, uh, an understanding at least of what's happened. I might be able to download this and give it him or give it her. Who knows? And, uh, we'll see what it says. But yeah, good night.
