founder on underway is $29 a month, or $290 a year, after a 14-day free trial. a card goes in at signup and nothing is charged until day 15. the price should be stated plainly.

the founders who took the original plan keep it for life; nobody is moved up. everyone arriving now sees one number, and the same number in the app as on the website.

every new account starts with a 14-day free trial. the card goes in at signup and nothing is charged until day 15; cancel before then and nothing is owed. fourteen days is two working weeks on the weekday default, which is long enough to find out whether the ritual holds after the excitement of the first one wears off. the trial is the whole of founder, not a cut-down version: the interview, the cut, the numbered episode on your phone, as many episodes as the days earn. three days before day 15 an email says the date and the amount. accounts made before 12 oct 2026 keep the five free episodes they were promised, with no card until episode six.

what founder includes is the interview every day, the episode cut for you within minutes, your private archive, the text for every platform, and your public page when you choose to go public. the raw footage is downloadable on every plan, free included. it is your own face and voice, and charging to get it back would be bad faith. what is paid for is the processing, never access to your own material.

what founder includes, on the posting side, is the words for each network and sending them from your own accounts. series is the plan above it, for a founder whose archive has started working for them: the podcast feed, the weekly recap, one tap to every connected network, the audience numbers that come back, and the parts of the product that exist because there are enough episodes to build from. documenting in private costs nothing extra on any plan, and every paid plan can publish the whole archive on launch day.

the reason the price is monthly rather than per episode is the habit. a daily ritual should not have a meter running on it. you should never, sitting down to record, weigh whether today's episode is worth the money. it is one number, it covers as many episodes as the day earns, and lowering your commitment or pausing the streak costs nothing and asks no questions.

cancelling never takes away what you have recorded. the episodes and the raw footage are yours, on your devices and in your backup, and the archive does not expire with the subscription.

what the money pays for is worth saying, because the interview is the part that looks free and is not. every day a model reads what your day turned up, proposes an angle, writes the questions and asks them out loud, one for each thing you picked. then the takes are transcribed word by word, the cut is chosen, the file is rendered on a server, and the text for each platform is written from the transcript. that is the cost of an episode, and it is why the plan is priced as a daily service rather than as storage.

underway also shows you what has accumulated, because that is what makes the price feel earned: forty-seven episodes, none of which existed before you started, and the people who have watched them. those numbers are shown to you and never fed back into the questions, so the diary stays honest while the count grows.

$29 a month, or $290 a year. that is the price.
