Texts from Underway Calendar

Underway Calendar is a booking calendar run by Personal Works Ltd. Businesses use it to take calls booked by their leads. When someone books a call and gives their mobile number, they may get texts about that call: the confirmation, reminders before it, and a note if it moves or is cancelled.

How people agree to texts

On the booking form, the phone number is optional. Under it is a switch, off until the person turns it on themselves, that says, with the business's own name:

Text me about this call: confirmations and reminders from Sam Carter. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Only people who give a number and turn the switch on get texts. Booking never depends on it, and everyone still gets their confirmation by email. Here is the form as a lead first sees it, the switch off (a demo account):

The booking form's About you step: name, email, an optional phone number, and under it the switch, off, that the person turns on themselves to get texts about this call, with message and data rates, STOP and HELP.

What the texts say

Only messages about the call they booked. For example:

  • Sam Carter: you're booked for Tue 27 Oct, 3:00 PM EDT. Join: https://underway.life/whop-app/room/abc123 Reply STOP to stop texts.
  • Sam Carter: reminder, your call is Tue 27 Oct, 3:00 PM EDT. Join: https://underway.life/whop-app/room/abc123
  • Sam Carter: your call has moved to Tue 27 Oct, 3:00 PM EDT. Join: https://underway.life/whop-app/room/abc123
  • Sam Carter: your call on Tue 27 Oct, 3:00 PM EDT is cancelled.

How often, and what it costs

Message frequency varies with each booking, usually one to four texts per call booked. Message and data rates may apply.

Stopping texts, and getting help

Reply STOP to any text and no more will be sent to that number from that business. Reply HELP for help, or write to hello@underway.life. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your number is never shared for marketing

Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. A number is used only to send texts about the call it was given for. See our privacy policy and terms.
