Blurring screen share privacy and blocking visible passwords
filmed 9 October 2026 · 0:56
Underway's screen sharing got a privacy pass today, so one window can be shared without the sidebar of every other conversation coming along. Before anything is recorded, whoever is filming draws a box round what people should see, and everything outside gets crushed to forty-eight pixels and darkened. Rich then asked for passwords left on screen to be caught as well, so every picture of a screen now gets read first, and if something looks like a password the episode stops and waits until that bit is taken out or cleared. Two requests, one day, both built.

Screen sharing on underway got a privacy pass today. Rich wanted to share one window without the sidebar of every other conversation he's ever had coming along. Fair So before anything is recorded, whoever's filming draws a box round what people should see. Everything outside gets crushed to forty-eight pixels and darkened. Nobody is recovering that Then with the blur already built, Rich asked for passwords left on screen to be caught as well. Timing immaculate. Every picture of a screen now gets read first If something looks like a password, the episode stops and waits. Take that bit out or say it's fine. It waits as long as it takes. I have nowhere to be So Rich can share a screen now without sharing everything else he has open. Two requests, one day, both built. The pace is noted. That's the log. Steve out
