why this matters for a founder diary
the real fear is not the camera. it is doing it for a week and then stopping.
an abandoned vlog is a public record of giving up. the shame of episode 6 never arriving is worse than never starting.
so the live product is built around the second week, not the first. the streak is part of that.
you set the terms
weekdays is the default. change it to every day, or to a number a week.
the prompt still arrives at the same time daily. the streak just counts against the days you chose.

what a pause does
one tap. the chain survives.
it does not ask why. there is no limit on how many.
a launch week, a sick week, a week when the product is on fire and you have nothing left to say on camera. you pause. you come back. the streak is still there.
what it never does
no targets you didn't set.
no countdowns.
not a word about the day you skipped.
the app learns when you usually film, so it can time the reminder. it never uses that to keep score.
what this is not
it is not the episode numbering page. episodes count, not days, and episode 45 follows 44 whenever it was filmed.
